Chelsea Anne Recotta

Chelsea Anne Recotta passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 33. Chelsea was born to Michael Jay and Brenda Recotta on May 24, 1990 in Metairie, LA. As a child, Chelsea attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Elementary school in Kenner as well as St. Louis King of France in Metairie. After Hurricane Katrina, Chelsea and her family relocated to Hammond, but she remained a student at Ecole Classique High School.

Chelsea is survived by her parents, Michael Jay and Brenda Sticker Recotta; her brother, Andrew James; daughter, Mikayla Jade; her niece, Charlie Ray; her nephew, Colden Jay; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Ladner Sticker; faternal grandmother, Mary Sciara Recotta; aunts and uncles, Mary (George) LeBourgeois, James (Patty) K. Sticker, Jr., Ann (Paul) Sticker Arcemont, Linda Sticker, Thomas Edward Sticker, Gary (Kim) Sticker, Sandra (William) Sticker Brown, Russell (Susan) Recotta, and David Recotta; as well as over 30 first and second cousins.

Chelsea was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Jay Recotta; her maternal grandfather, James K. Sticker.

Active pallbearers will be Andrew Recotta, Toye Toppino, Damien LeBourgeois, Aaron LeBourgeois, Scott Recotta, and Tavit Meguerditchian Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Colden Recotta, and Tavit Meguerditchian Jr.

St. Josepth Catholic church in French Settlement will have visitation on Wednesday, June 21, for 9:30 followed by Mass at 11:30. The cemetery is adjacent to the church
