Carolyn Leah Gashia Keller

Carolyn Leah Gashia Keller, a native of New Orleans and long-time resident of Lake, Louisiana was born on November 18, 1933, to the late Ivy and Elma Roy Gashia, passed away at home on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the age of 89. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She was a graduate of Opelousas High School Class of 1952. She was a member of the former UDC New River Rangers Chapter 2514, a lifetime member of the Gonzales Boat Club, and a dedicated employee for many years with the Bechtel Corporation. Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Collin (Michelle) Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Lionel “Buck” Keller; and her parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Sacred Heart Lake Chapel in St. Amant from 12:00pm-2:00pm with Mass following visitation, conducted by Father Matthew Lorrain. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Servant’s Heart Services and Church Funeral Services and Cremation for their care and support during this time. Carolyn will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant, Louisiana.
