Carolyn “MeMe” Victoria Hagan Bourg

Carolyn was born in Albany, Louisiana on March 18, 1945, and rested from this life on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 81 years of age.

Carolyn was the 2nd of 6 children born to Burlin and Emily Murl Hagan. She grew up in Wilson, Louisiana. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1963. She went on to marry Kenneth Gaubert in 1965, and they welcomed 2 beautiful daughters into the world.

Her 2nd marriage was to Ferlin Bourg for 11 years.

Carolyn was a wonderful cook, a talented singer, and was always a beauty. She had an eye for things that sparkled. She was an avid Saints and LSU fan. Once her grandchildren were born, she became Meme, not just to her grandchildren, but to everyone. She loved teaching her grandchildren about the Bible.

She lived out her elderly years at Tangi Pines/The Lodge in Amite, LA.

Carolyn is survived by her children Cherie Ard (Luther) and Lisa Hano, her grandchildren Brittany Breaux (Michael), Jaymee Blache (Joshua), Wyatt Hano, and Gavin Hagan, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Ola and Thomas Hagan, maternal grandparents Victoria and Jesse “Hardy” Chapman, parents Bulin Hagan and Emily Murl Hagan Pierre, her siblings Ray Allen Hagan, Sandra Hagan Moore, Jimmy Dale Hagan, Iris Hagan Lemus, and Joel Hagan, her granddaughter Jessie Lynn Ard, her son-in-law Joseph “J.J.” Hano, her nieces Joanne Hagan and Angela “Angie” Hagan Prescott, nephews James “Tonkey” Hagan and Justin Smith, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Carolyn will be missed dearly, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all her loved ones.
