Carol A. Vicknair

Carol A. Vicknair, born July 22, 1948, in LaPlace, LA, passed away peacefully at her home in Gonzales, LA on October 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerald P. Vicknair; children, Paula Duhe (Andrew), Kirt Vicknair (Lisa), Kenneth Vicknair (Liz); brothers, Walter Madere (Sue) and Larry Madere; grandchildren, Brandon (Ashley), Sara, Dillan (Janean), Jenna, Jake, Zack, Ava, Payton (Josef), Gage, Zoey, and Jett; great grandchildren, Lindon Jr. , Laken, Carter, Beckham, Olivia, Ivy, Maverick, and Presley as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Edward C. Madere and Rosemary Jones Madere; brother, Edward C. Madere, Jr.; granddaughter, Ainsley Bella Vicknair. A private memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be planned for a later date. The family would like to thank The Hospice of Baton Rouge for their compassion and care during the family’s time of need.
