Carol Louise Swanson

Carol Louise Swanson, 76, passed away peacefully in Prairieville, LA on July 12, 2025. She was born April 27, 1949 in Rockford IL to her beloved parents, Helmer L Swanson and Elsa (Gunnerson) Swanson. She spent the majority of her career in the finance industry. She was a devout Christian and loved her church, Wildwood United Methodist Church in Wildwood, FL. Carol never met a stranger and was so kind and caring. She loved simple things like her crossword puzzles, playing on her ipad, watching any show about anything Alaska on TV, and of course a good chocolate milkshake. Her biggest love was her dogs, her babies, all dachshunds of course. Through the years Abbott and Costello, then Bitsy and Lucy, and finally Abbey brought her so much joy. Their days were filled with treats, snuggles, and lots of belly rubs. She is preceded in death by her parents and her Godchild, Steven Marc Swanson. She is survived by a sister Lynn (William) Swanson Moore of Gonzales, LA, a brother Steven (Victoria Haney) Swanson of Summerfield, FL, nieces Michelle (Blake) Moore Miller and Melissa (Tony) Moore Becnel both of Prairieville LA, and a nephew Matthew (Crystal) Swanson of Ocala, FL. plus great nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.
