Cairue James Villeneuve

Cairue James (C.J.) Villeneueve, a native of Gonzales, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024 at the age of 66. He was a 1977 graduate of East Ascension Academy and enjoyed camping, fishing, LSU and Saints football. 

He is survived by his wife Lisa (Thibeau) Villeneueve, his children Chet (Krystal) Villeneuve and Cole Villeneuve; grandchildren Kade and Kinzley Villeneuve; his sisters Lisa (Kevin) Badame, Dana (Willie) Neusetzer, Cindy (Jamie) Gautreau; sisters-in-law Jan Villeneuve, Lenny (Rodney) Gremillion, Dana (Glen) Guedry, brother-in-law Brett (Cindy) Thibeau and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He is preceded in death by his son Cade Villeneuve, parents Larry and Dot Villeneuve, brothers Larry Jr., Ricky and David Villeneuve; father and mother-in-law Jerry and Ruthella (Tut) Thibeau. 

Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville on April 18, 2024 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am for all who wish to attend. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's hospice for their compassion and care for C.J. through this difficult time.
