Brenda Frederick, born August 5, 1951, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at her home in Gonzales, Louisiana. Known for her exceptional kindness and unwavering dedication to her family, Brenda's presence touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived a life marked by love, generosity, and an unyielding commitment to going above and beyond for her children and grandchildren.
Brenda's love extended beyond her family to include a passion for thrift shopping, sewing, and needlepoint. These hobbies reflected her thoughtful nature and appreciation for the value in every story and experience.
She is survived by her devoted children: Aimee Melancon and her husband Brett; Derek Frederick and his wife Kaya; and Kevin Frederick and his wife Christy. Brenda’s family circle also includes her cherished sister Janell Dupre and her husband Mike, as well as her beloved brother Ronald Luquette and his wife Ginger. Her legacy is further carried on by her ten grandchildren—Allee, Breanna, Rylin, Carly, Laekyn, Blake, Emily, Kailey, Bailey, and Braden—and her two great-grandchildren, Carter and Chase.
Brenda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Louise and Joseph Luquette.
Throughout her life, Brenda created deep and lasting connections with those around her, characterized by her boundless kindness and willingness to support others. Surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, she leaves behind a legacy defined by warmth, devotion, and a generous spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Her family mourns her loss profoundly and celebrates the meaningful life she led. Brenda Frederick’s enduring love and the memories she fostered will remain a source of comfort and strength for her family and friends in the years to come.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29th, at The Venue in St. Amant, LA, with visitation starting at 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
