Bonnie Hoover

Bonnie W. Hoover, affectionately known as "Bom Bom," passed away on August 31, 2024, in Holden, LA, at the age of 87. Born on August 27, 1937, Bonnie dedicated over 30 years to educating elementary school students, a passion she knew was her calling from an early age. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Alton C. Hoover, her parents, Nettie Efferson and Utah Wascom, and her four sisters, Evon Collins, Lucille Lewis, Johnnie Cutrer, and Annie Norred. She is survived by numerous family members who will cherish her memory. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Algiers in Walker, LA, on Wednesday, September 4, from 9 am to 11 am, with a committal service following immediately at 11 am.
