With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Bobbie Jo Philpot announces her peaceful passing. She was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on November 18th, 2025 with her family by her side. Bobbie Jo entered the world with a quiet strength and generous heart on December 31st, 1934 to Amos and Rosa Bates Philpot in Holden, Louisiana. She was the embodiment of love in action. She was kind, caring, and endlessly selfless, giving of herself in ways that left lasting imprints on the lives around her. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, her love steady and unconditional. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her soft smile and the warm care she gave freely. She loved talking about Jesus, Holidays with her family, thrifting, crocheting with Kathy Hughes, shopping, cooking for those she loved (especially sweets), and gardening among so many other hobbies. As the mother of six children, Bobbie Jo’s life was full of purpose and devotion. Her family was the center of her world, and she nurtured them with unwavering patience, wisdom and compassion. Bobbie is survived by her Children – Daryl Shirah, Rhonda McAllister, Ronald Shirah, Randal Shirah, Steven Scott and Kelly, and Joli Davis and Steve; Grandchildren – Jason Perrault, Tarva Blum and Walter, Justin Shirah and Misty, Lesley Zeringue and Mike, Donna Kay Shirah, Nadia May, Daryl Wayne Shirah, Justin Shirah and Misty, Zachary Shirah, Dexter Shirah and Samantha, Jonathan Smith, Steven (Stevie) Davis and Kimberly, Mika Michelle Mcallister, Tabatha Lemoine, Colton Shirah and Taylor, Kati Eddleman and Tommy, Erin Fauntleroy and Hunter, Baleigh Shirah, Joey Scott and Juliette, Jaala Davis, Peyton Scott, and Presleigh Scott; Also survived by 37 Great Grandchildren; Sister – Shirley Cline and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents – Amos and Rosa Bates Philpot, Brothers – Obie Philpot, Haskell Philpot, Norris Philpot, Burke Philpot; Sisters – Vonnie Allen, Ruby Picou, Geraldine Robertson, and Billie Ruth Moses. She was a member of Cross Truth Ministries, where her Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday November 25th, 2025; 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Service starting at 1 p.m.; Officiating the service will be Her Pastor - Brother Wayne Mack and Family Friend - Brother Greg Thompson.
