Blaine Seth Favaron

Blaine Seth Favaron, 63, a longtime native of Zachary, Louisiana, and a resident of Liberty, Mississippi, was born on March 24, 1963, and was called home to his eternal resting place on April 27, 2026

By any measure, Blaine was a remarkable man. He was a hunter who took great pride in the many deer he harvested over the years. Yet he was also a true naturalist, guided by a deep respect for creation and the balance of life. He would never shoot a young buck that had not yet had its time. He refused to kill coyotes, believing they had their rightful place in the natural order, and he would not even harm a snake—including the copperhead his wife once discovered in the kitchen sink, a story family and friends will never forget.

Though known as a hunter, Blaine also carried the heart of a musician. Music ran in his blood through his father, and that gift found its way to him. He loved to play the guitar, and those who heard him knew the joy it brought him. For over 20 years, he played with the Ambush Band for the Roadrunners, where every venue was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and appreciation. His music rekindled memories of his teenage band, The Chainsmokers.

Above all, Blaine loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. Each morning, he faithfully recorded and shared a YouTube video featuring a Bible reading and his reflections. He did this not for recognition, but out of devotion and a desire to encourage others. Most especially, he wanted his grandchildren to know the love of Jesus Christ and to carry that faith in their own lives.

Some may not have realized how deeply Blaine’s faith ran, as it often expressed itself in unique ways. He collected old Bibles, saying he was “rescuing” them. Over the years, he gathered hundreds, believing that a worn Bible—with torn pages and handwritten notes—was NOT something to be discarded, but a treasure filled with history, faith, and grace.

One of Blaine’s favorite things to do was spending time with “The Burkes”-enjoying laughter, fun, movie nights, games of Yahtzee, and going on adventures together.

Blaine was many things—a hunter, a musician, and a child of God—but above all else, he was a family man. He loved his children dearly, cherished his grandchildren, and devoted his life to his beloved wife and soulmate, Becky Lynn. His biggest fans were his five grandchildren: Aiden, Hunter, McKenzi, Skyler, and Marley, along with his sweet rescue puppy, Pepper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lee Revette Carney and Charles Joseph Favaron, and his beloved stepfather, Bowman Carney.

He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Becky McLin Favaron; his children, Miranda Davis Fourrier and her husband Adam, Cody Davis and his wife Amanda, and Madison Blaine McLaughlin; and his siblings, Deonne Herring and her husband Jimmie, Kerry J. Favaron Perry and his husband Bill, and Brian K. Favaron. He is also survived by his step-siblings, Jim Carney and his wife Jill, Ann Carney Brewer, and Nita Carney Edwards.

He is also survived by his in-laws, Butch and Lisa McLin, Steven and Lenor McLin, and Johnny B. and Vicky McLin Burke. Blaine leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Field Health System Emergency Room in Centreville, Mississippi, and to the Emergency Room and ICU teams at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for their compassion, gentleness, and professionalism during this difficult time. A special and deeply personal thank you is extended to his nephew, Brandon Tumey, MSN, FNP-C, who was our rock and steady source of strength on that very difficult day.

Blaine will be remembered with love, admiration, and deep gratitude by all who knew him.
