Billy Eugene Ogle, Jr., born on August 30, 1970, in Pahokee, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His journey through life was marked by a steadfast dedication to family, an unwavering work ethic, and a heart that touched the lives of all who knew him.

Billy grew up in Florida, graduating from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda. His early years established a foundation of tenacity and humility that would define him always. He chose a career as a machine operator for the steel fabricator of Clayton Homes, where he worked devotedly for over eleven years. Through his steady hands and focused determination, he earned the respect of his colleagues and contributed immeasurably to his workplace.

At the center of Billy’s life were those he loved most. He found his greatest fulfillment as a father to his beloved sons, Robert C. Ogle and Billy E. Ogle III (Katelyn), and as a loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren. He also shared a special bond with his sisters, Joy Hughes Burns, Kasey L. Ogle, and Christina Champion, each of whom he held close throughout his life’s journey.

Billy’s commitment to his family extended far beyond words. Spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he considered his role as father and grandfather his proudest accomplishment. He truly cared for others over himself, often putting their needs ahead of his own, and he will be remembered for his selfless nature. Those who knew him best would describe Billy as a man who lived simply yet profoundly, guided by the values of hard work, humility, and compassion.

In addition to his deep devotion to family, Billy enjoyed woodworking, finding solace and satisfaction in shaping wood with his own hands. He loved fishing and spending time in nature, pursuits that offered him peace and reflection. These hobbies not only nourished his own spirit but also allowed him to share joyful moments with loved ones—a testament to the importance he placed on togetherness.

Billy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Denise Ogle; his father, Billy E. Ogle Sr.; his mother, Regina A. Champion; his stepmother Peggy Ogle; and his son, Justin M. Ogle. Their memories remain an enduring comfort to those he leaves behind.

As his family and friends mourn his passing, they also celebrate a life lived with quiet strength, sincere kindness, and a legacy of love. Billy’s influence will continue to be felt in the generations that follow him—a living tribute to the values he held dear.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
