Beverly Ann Richey Richard

Beverly Ann Richey Richard, born on April 5, 1946, in Pineville, LA, passed away in Baton Rouge, LA on April 8, 2024, at the age of 78.  Beverly was a previous member of St. Mark Catholic Church and current member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  She retired as Major at LCIW then went on to work as a sheriff’s deputy with the Ascension Sheriffs office, where she then later retired.  Beverly enjoyed sport, fishing and gardening.  She loved special time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   

Beverly is survived by her children, Kimberly Richard Schexnayder (Kelley), Robin Richard Rogers (Timothy), Christopher L. Richard (Meghan)10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Gilda Bourgeois and James Richey, Jr.; her beloved dog, Roux as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, whom she loved dearly.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence V. Richard, Jr.; parents, James “WJ” and Irene Lambert Richey; brothers, Terry Richey and Ronnie Richey.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.  Interment will follow at Cornerview Cemetery in Gonzales.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Beverly’s honor to The National Kidney Association.
