It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Kay Morris, aged 72, of Gonzales, Louisiana. While she embraced life in Louisiana, she will always remain a Texas lady at heart. Beverly joined the Lord on April 8, 2025, with her devoted husband, David, by her side.
Born on July 24, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Beverly dedicated her life to her family, embodying the roles of a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting nana. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and selflessness knew no bounds. As the rock upon which her family leaned during life's joys and challenges, Beverly's wisdom and unconditional love were a source of strength and comfort to everyone around her. Her presence was truly a blessing.
Beverly's legacy lives on through her loving husband, David Morris, and her devoted children: Michelle, Lisa, Robert, Sheila, David James (with wife Katie), Nicholas (with fiancée Katie), Samuel (with wife Katrina), and Madison. She was a proud grandmother to Blake, Brittany, Kadinn, Samantha, Madixx, Elvin Robert, Henry, Harmony, Leilani, and James. She also leaves behind her siblings, Scottie Parks, Alfred Parks, Carolyn Curtis, and Johanna Wright, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Beverly’s furry companion, Buddy the dog, and her parrot, Bitsy, will miss her dearly.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Scott and Lucille Parks, and her beloved grandson, Cameron Stark.
Beverly’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and dedication to family. Her warm heart, steadfast faith, and enduring love touched the lives of so many. Her family and friends will carry forward her memory, celebrating the remarkable woman she was and cherishing the lessons she imparted.
A memorial service to honor Beverly’s life will be held at the Healing Place Church Annex on Highland Road at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 17, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to your church or a local church.
