Thibodaux

We mourn the loss of Ava Millet, who passed away peacefully in her daughter's home in Saint Amant on January 29, 2024. Ava was a healthcare professional who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her career was more than just a job; it was a calling from God.

Ava found immense joy in her work, particularly when she would dance with the residents in the nursing home. The joy on her face while sharing those moments of connection was truly a testament to her compassionate nature. She brought light into the lives of those she cared for, and her impact will never be forgotten.

Born on October 2, 1962, in Thibodaux, Ava was full of life and lived every moment to its fullest. She had an infectious spirit that touched the hearts of everyone she met. Ava had a generous soul and would give her last dime to anyone in need, even if it meant going without herself. Her selflessness and willingness to help others serve as an inspiration to us all.

Ava's faith played a significant role in her life. She was strong in her beliefs and loved throwing her hands up in praise. Her unwavering devotion to God guided her actions and allowed her to have such a profound impact on those around her.

In addition to her career and faith, Ava enjoyed spending time at the casino, creating wonderful memories with family, and embarking on family vacations. These were moments that brought immense joy into her life, and she cherished every opportunity to create lasting bonds with those she loved.

Ava's proudest accomplishments were centered around ensuring that her family's needs were met – whether it be financially, emotionally, or through physical care. This unwavering dedication to her loved ones exemplifies the kind-hearted person she was.

She is survived by Lindsay Antolik (daughter), Jade Becnel (daughter) and husband Christopher, Mayson Antolik (grandson), Wade Millet (beloved partner), Joanna Brunet (special friend), Gloria Ockmond (mother), Tammy Falgoust (sister) and husband Wendell, Darlene Peltier (sister), Cynthia Landry (sister), Karlo Ockmond (brother) and wife Melanie, Wendall Ockmond (brother) and wife Arlene.
