Annette Bordelon Thornton PhD

Annette Bordelon Thornton has gone to be with the Lord on February 28, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones. Devoted mother to Andrew Thornton (Judith), and Ashleigh Thornton. Loving grandmother to Andrew, Alejandra, and Audrey Thornton. Survived by siblings Charlie Bordelon (Lynn), Roy Jerome (Kimberly), Joey Jerome, and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Thornton, father Thomas Abner Bordelon, mother Lena Margaret Bordelon Jerome (Anthony), and brothers Neal Bordelon, and Thomas Bordelon. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Education, and her Doctorate Degree of Philosophy from the University of New Orleans.  Annette was a devoted educator at River Parish Community College for 25 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and traveling. Special thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to Saint Angela Merici Church at 835 Melody Drive, Metairie, LA 70002 on Saturday, March 23^rd.  Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and the Memorial Mass will start at 12:00.
