Born November 12, 1952, in Baton Rouge, LA. Died September 28, 2023, in Prairieville, LA. A Graduate of Istrouma High School 1970, and LSUA – Nursing School 1974, she was proud of her schooling in Etiquette and ballroom dancing. She was an RN Nurse working in all areas of nursing but finding her passion in Psychiatric Nursing. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, baking, playing games, and movies, and a true love for all holidays, shopping for holidays. Anita loved being a caregiver for anyone that needed it and going above and beyond for family & friends. She was very passionate about her family and her chosen family and doing things “Properly”! She was preceded in death by her mother, Adda B. Ellis Wright and father, Howard Eugene Wright Jr. “H.E.”; Father Howard Eugene Wright Jr. “H.E.”; her Husband of 43 years, James Malcolm Green “Mac”.  She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca G. Burton & Son-in-law, Anthony J. Burton Jr. “Tony”; 5 grandchildren, Holli Burton, Anna Burton Serrett (Jacob M. Serrett), Chad Burton, Matthew Burton, Joseph Burton; her 6 chosen grandchildren, Larry “Lee” Beachler III, Noah Bourgeois, Andrew Beachler, Maribel Beachler, Luke Bourgeois, and Roman Beachler; brother, Howard E. Wright III; sister, Sallye D. Dawson (James Dawson); sister-in-law, Ruth Sitton; chosen sister, Lillian Beachler (Larry Beachler Sr.); 7 nieces and nephews, Micheal Wright, Mark Wright, Jessica Dawson, Heather McInnis, Morgan Wright, Margaret “Tootie” Wright, Sarah Dawson; 2 chosen nephews, Larry Beachler Jr. and Joseph “Joey” Beachler; 9 great nieces and nephews; her other chosen family, Melissa and Christian Bourgeois and all the Burton Family. Anita loved just spending time with all her family and friends, now she will be watching and caring for us from above. Services for this Wonderful Caregiver will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA. on Friday, October 13, 2023, with visitation from 10:00 – 11:30 and mass at 11:30. Lunch will be served in the Church Activity Center. There will be a gathering after at her daughter’s house. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anita’s honor to Hospice of Baton Rouge (Donate | Hospice (hospicebr.org) ) or to any charity that supports Hospital Equipment or Staff or Mental Health will be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with Church Funeral services of St. Amant, LA.
