Angela Jones

Say not in grief, she is no more, but in thankfulness that she was." A beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was 58 and a Baton Rouge native. Angela was one of a kind and marched to the beat of her own drum. Even through her trials and tribulations, she woke up each morning with a grateful heart. Angela loved her family and friends immensely and enjoyed showing her love through gift giving. She was a resourceful woman and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed dearly. Angela is survived by her mother, Sue Matte, stepmother, Carolyn Gail McDonald; three Daughters; Mandie Jones Schexnayder, Kasey Jones, and Cheyenne Hoyt; four Sisters; Cynthia McDonald Sykes, Traci Wilson, Toni Britz, and Tara Corkern; Brother, Roy K. McDonald Jr.; five Grandchildren; Kennen Akers, Zoie Jones, Aurora and Gabriella Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Angela was preceded in death by her father, Roy K. McDonald Sr. A Private Memorial Service will be held with close Family and Friends.
