Amber Bernice (Fairman) Roth

Amber Bernice (Fairman) Roth, 89 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Margaret’s at Mercy, New Orleans, LA.  Amber was born February 20, 1933 in Kintersburg, PA to Afton Fairman and Hazel Seyler Fairman.  In her early adult life, Amber married the late Lawrence Omasta and they had four children.  In 1969, while visiting a friend for coffee, Amber unexpectedly met the love of her life, Frank J. Roth, III – shortly thereafter they were married on May 7, 1969, in Elderton, PA.   In 1991, she and her husband retired in Jacksonville, NC.  She was fashionable, enjoyed refurbishing antique furniture, gardening, birdwatching, walking the beach, and she loved her animals.  She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Survivors include sisters Cheryl and Linda; son Gregory Allen Omasta (Diane), Kittaning, PA; nine grandchildren: Jodi Liberty Bodden; Jennifer Christene Omasta (Christopher); Mandy Kim Omasta; Michael Lawrence Omasta; Lauren Ashlea Omasta; Amber Alexis Omasta; David Omasta (Lexi); John Omasta; Keri Omasta Cameron (Troy); and 12 great-grandchildren: Marcus, Dylan, Heaven, Devan, Christian, Bentley, Dalyla, Alea, Colby, Brooklyn, and Laikyn.  Amber was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Lancer Duane, Bryson Gene, John Afton, Harland Floyd, Randall Stuart, Knowlton Carlisle, and sister Cleo; her husband, Frank (“Jack”); her son, Kenneth; her daughters, Georgia and Susan; and her great-grandson, Ethan.  We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones.  Amber will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
