Alma E Anaya, affectionately known as Noya by her sibling, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2025, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was born on January 19, 1966, in Sonsonate, El Salvador, Alma’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and passion for helping others.

Noya was a devoted member of the Family Worship Center, where her commitment to her faith shone brightly. Her warmth and kindness resonated within her community, and she was known for her heartfelt efforts to support and uplift those around her.

She is survived by her beloved children, Patrick Rodrigo Anaya, Lidia Elizabeth Anaya, Eduardo Enrique Anaya, and Joel Ayala Anaya. In her leisure, Alma was fond of exploring the beauty of beaches, lakes, and mountains, often traveling to her cherished hometown in El Salvador and the vibrant city of Boston. She found joy in bird watching, particularly admiring the swans at Green Hill Park, and engaged in long conversations with family and friends that culminated in joyous laughter. Her love for history and appreciation for Holiday Broadway shows at the Hanover Theatre were among her many interests. Alma also delighted in the simple pleasures of apple and peach picking, visiting antique stores, thrift shops, and savoring delicious treats such as Cafe Misto, Cafe Au lait, pistachio ice cream, lobster rolls, chowder bread bowls, Chinese food from Tin Tin buffet, quesadilla, tamales, pupusas, homemade soups, and Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

She loved Jesus, attending church and being with her church family.

A funeral service will be held on September 13, 2025, at the Family Worship Center, 8919 World Ministry Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, beginning with visitation at 10:00 AM and culminating with the service at 12:00 PM. Graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Jesus never stopped pursuing Alma. The Lord lead Sister Eufemia Gandulla to share the gospel with her and her family. Alma returned to the Lord and never looked back. She served and loved the Lord with all her heart. Dedicating her children to the Lord and teaching them how to walk with Jesus. She loved sharing the gospel with other and praying for the needs of others. Through many trials and tribulations, she was a steady person always keeping her gaze on the Lord. She was a picture of a Proverbs 31 woman and today we can say: Her children arise and call her blessed.
