Alice D. Murphy

Alice Diez Murphy, age 71, passed away peacefully at The Crossing by Clarity Hospice on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 2:35PM after a long battle with heart failure. She fought hard until the very end.

 Alice was preceded in death by her mother Tracine Bacile, father George Diez, brother Michael Diez, and her sister, Linda Bevill. She is survived by her brother Cory Simmons, son Jason Murphy (Alexis), daughter Tracy Murphy, nephews Craig (Susan) and Lance Bacile, Hardy and Marshall Simmons, niece Megan DeSoto, and her beloved grandsons Alexander and John Murphy, as well as close family friend Richard Atwood, and countless other friends and neighbors. Alice will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved her.

 Alice was passionate about antique shopping, painting, gardening, and turtles. She was happiest with the sun on her face and her hands in the dirt. Spending time with family and her two grandsons was the highlight of Alice’s life. Being a grandma was one of her greatest joys. She certainly lived life to the fullest, despite her ailments.

 Services will be arranged and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Alice’s name and plant something to make this world a more beautiful place.
