Abigail Jane "Abby" Wilkes

Abigail J. “Abby” Wilkes, born in New Orleans, LA on April 23, 1957, passed away at her home in St. Amant, LA on March 17, 2024, at the age of 66. Abby enjoyed crafting, jewelry making, trips to the casino with her husband, and cooking. She had a fond love for children, having fostered and working in childcare.

Abby is survived by her husband, Larry A Wilkes; daughter, Terri Kliebert; grandson, Justin Lanoux; mother, Doris Delatte Babin; siblings, Diane Woodward (Mike), Dale Babin (Terry), Cecile Heath (Russell), Lisa Cummings (Jack); nieces and nephews, Wade Woodward, Brandon Babin, Jessica Templet, Caleb Heath, Joshua Cummings, Daniel Cummings, Kayla Cummings; Mother-in-law, Ann Holmes; in-laws, Richard Wilaby, Jimmy Wilkes, Charlene Frazier, Drucilla H. Ross, as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends. Abby is preceded in death by her father, Windom Babin; nephew, Jodie Duplessis; in-laws, Jimmy W. Holmes and Patricia A Wilkes.

A gathering to pay respects will be held at The Venue in St. Amant on Thursday March 21, 2024, from 10am until 12pm.
