Abbi L. Moran

Abbi Lyn Moran, a native of Gonzales, LA, resident of St. Amant, LA, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at the age of 42.  Abbi is survived by her husband, Tobie Moran; step-daughter Hannah Lessard; mother, Teri Kessel; father, Glen Moran; stepfather, Fred Oehrle; sister, Jessica Moran (Kayne) Rouyea; brother, Alex (Terrilynn Saucier) Oehrle; grandmother, Hattie Bourgeois Moran; step granddaughters, Khylie and Khloe Lessard; and nieces, Karmyn and Piper Rouyea.

Abbi was preceded by her grandparents, Earl and Sylvia Kessel, and Dewey “By June” Moran, Jr.

Abbi was a graduate of East Ascension High School and Ascension College.  She was a Legal Assistant for many years, and she was incredibly smart and passionate.  She always put others first and was a caretaker at heart. She rescued countless animals and enjoyed playing in her garden for hours. Abbi was a beautiful soul inside and out, and she will be dearly missed by so many.

Family and friends are invited to Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E. Hwy. 30, Gonzales, LA, on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10 am where a Celebration of Life Service will be held by her cousin, Pastor Brad Dixon, with Interment to follow.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are as follows: Benjamin Reed, Jamie Fontenot, Jimmy Moran, Jared Moran, Kayne Rouyea, and Beau Caruso.
