Aaron Thomas Mackler

Aaron Thomas Mackler, 37, of Baton Rouge, LA joined his parents in Heaven on November 7, 2023. He was born October 1, 1986 to John James Mackler and Nora Gremillion Mackler, and attended St. Jude the Apostle School and St. Michael the Archangel High School. He is survived by his brother, Michael Mackler and sister-in-law, Kathryn Mackler; his cousins, Bret (Caroline) Blackmon and Kelly Blackmon; his uncle, Bo Blackmon and aunt, Marsha Blackmon, who were especially close to him. He is also survived by dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles. 

 

Aaron had a beautiful heart. He always greeted with a warm bear hug, contagious smile and a funny story. Aaron loved his family dearly and his enthusiasm brought peace, joy, and positivity to others. 

 

Aaron's passion was fishing, a skill he gained from his parents during childhood trips to Leeville, Louisiana. He could catch anything no matter the weather or conditions and loved teaching others… but he was always top pole!

 

We will carry Aaron's memory in our hearts. It brings us comfort to know that he is with his parents in Heaven - probably driving a Boston Whaler towards that honey hole in the sky. 

 

A private service will be held at Green Oaks Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA followed by a Celebration of Life. Please contact a family member for details.
