
Our beloved Joseph, passed away surrounded by family on the afternoon of Monday Jan 23, 2023, at the age of 69. He was a native of Baton Rouge, La and a resident of Zachary, La. He was a long time employee of the Hilton Baton Rouge Capital Center and a lifelong LSU Tigers fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr and Mary Pizzalato, and his sister, Barbara Pizzalato Browning. He is survived by his lifetime partner, Steven Shaman; his sisters Joann Pizzalato Hardgrave and Toni; his brother Carlos and sister in law Julie; nieces Michelle, Jeanie and Amie; nephews Dylan and Joey, and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. Inurnment and chapel services will be held at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Baton Rouge on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:30am. The family wishes to express a special thankyou to the attending staff at Our Lady of the Lake for their great care and compassion. Joe was truly one of a kind. He was kind and genuine, and a true friend. I worked with Joe for many years and he was loved by so many. I’ll always remember his laugh and all the laughs we had together. I will miss my friend, will love you always, and I’m so grateful for our time together.
Jr Boy as we all called him. We all have such good memories With spending summer at each other’s houses . I remember Jr would make roads and bridges and we play with these big cars. It was great Jr and I would sit on the swing and sing the songs of the day with Jr We had a favorite and it was always a good time we would laugh I’m so happy to have all these sweet memories with all of my cousins we are losing them too fast. I love you Jr I know every one in heaven was there to meet you! Love Mickey
