
Troy K. “Koto” Gerald, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Maurepas, passed away at his home peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the age of 70. Koto had many joys in life including time spent visiting and cooking for his family and friends. As well as hunting, fishing, and gardening. Koto is survived by his loving wife, Lillian M. Gerald; children, Brett Vice (Elsy), and Danielle M. Emmons (Bruce); grandchildren, Cade, Zachary, and Noah Gautreau, Bruce III and Barklay Emmons, Sarah and Joshua Phillips; siblings, Geralyn Umbaugh (Tom), Daryl Gerald (Susan), and Vivian Stevens (David); his beloved dog, Jake as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Koto is preceded in death by his parents, Brooksie Gerald and Betty Joy Paige. A memorial service to celebrate Koto’s life will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Saturday, December 10, 2022, with visitation starting at 10 am until memorial service at 12pm. LSU attire is acceptable. In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations be made in Koto’s honor to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
