Edna Mae Aydell

Edna Mae Aydell, age 89, a resident of Port Vincent, passed away on October 1, 2022.  She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Aydell, and five daughters:  Marie Marchand (Jay), Katherine Foster (Butch), Charlotte Dixon (Donald, deceased), Tina Pietri (Richard) and Cindy Aydell; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Octave and Ameila Rousseau; brother, Buddy; sister-in-laws Jane Rousseau, Lois Rousseau; brother-in-law, Sammy LaCarbo; great grandsons Easton Wade Polk and Austin Delaune, Jr.

Edna Mae loved cooking, sewing and being a homemaker for her family.  Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlements on Tuesday October 4, 2022 from NOON until 1PM.  Mass will follow.  Burial will be at St. William Cemetery, Port Vincent followed by a gathering at the Port Vincent Community Center.  The family would like to thank the staff at Amedisys Hospice.
