Terry Lee Wilson

Terry Lee Wilson was born on August 14th, 1951, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and passed away at the age of 71 on September 18th 2022 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his loving children by his side.  He will be remembered as a giving person who loved Jesus, family, friends, and his animals.

Terry graduated from Lee High School, served in the Vietnam war as an Air Force bomb loader on airplanes and then as an air traffic controller.  He left the Air Force and went on to work as a plant operator for 33 years while starting his computer consulting firm, W & W Consultants and finally working for Action Gaming the last several years.  He then continued to proudly work with his computer statistical analyzing gift until the day he passed.

Terry created what he called “Paw Paw Land” for his grandchildren and all the neighborhood kids where he would freely give popsicles, ice cream, or anything else the kids wanted.  Paw Paw Land included his 3 horses, 22 barn cats, multiple 4 wheelers and his own private shooting range.  He would frequently be seen riding one of his two tractors chopping the arena, bush hogging, pulling someone out of a ditch, or visiting with his neighbors.

He is survived by his son Terry “Roger” Wilson (wife Jennifer Calton Wilson), his daughter, Ashley Wilson Griffin (husband Clint Griffin); grandchildren Londyn Pope May, Raegan Wilson Jones, Emily Ann Wilson, Brennyn Marie Wilson, Bailey Marie Griffin, and Wilson Dean Griffin, great grandson, Eliott James May; and his sisters, Sally Elisabeth Pert and Patricia Jeanne Evans (husband Fred Evans).  He is preceded in death by his father Richard David Wilson, mother Mary Bean Mills and brother Richard David Wilson Jr.

Funeral Services from 10:00 a.m. to noon to be held October 1, 2022 at Journey Church Central by Pastor Jay Coleman at 17407 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, Louisiana 70739. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Foundation, the NRA and Cara’s House – Ascension Parish Animal Shelter.
