Frances Jewel Brown Burch was born on October 28, 1926 in Sardis, Mississippi and passed away at the age of 95 on September 23, 2022 in Denham Springs, Louisiana. She was a 1945 graduate of Sardis High School. Frances, “Jewel” to many, possessed great strength and many talents, but she will be remembered most for her loving nature and giving spirit. She had a boundless love for her family, and behind her sweet, beautiful smile there was warmth and wisdom that touched the lives of all who knew her. In troubled times, Frances often had these sage words to offer: “We never know what tomorrow’s going to bring,” and “We take it as it comes.” Though she faced much strife in her life, Frances never lost her faith and always lived by her Christian values.
