Johnnie D. Barnes Jr.

A ceremony celebrating the life of Johnnie D. Barnes Jr., will be held at The Church International of St Amant, located in the Timothy Building at  11:00 am on Thursday, visitation will begin at 9:30 am. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday September 23, 2022, at St. Peter Chapel Clear Lake Cemetery Goldonna, LA (Par Rd 302 Goldonna, LA 71031)

Johnnie was born on August 21, 1969, in New Orleans, and passed from this life on September 17, 2022, at the age of 53 years. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, enjoyed fishing and was a great movie buff especially western movies with John Wayne. He love time spent with his family and adored his grandchildren.

Johnnie was a retired food service manager, who loved to fish, but his greatest passion was his grandkids, whom he loved very much.  He will be missed by his family and friends.  The memories in his life will live on forever in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnnie D. Barnes Sr.

Survivors include his wife Bobbie Jo Barfield Barnes; his children Crystal Brooks , Johnnie D. “J.D” Barnes III , Anthony “Tony” Barnes, Monica Richard, and Elisha Barnes; his mother, Dorothy B. Barnes; siblings Judy Bass, Bryan Barnes, Mary Richardson, Rebecca Lobell, Natalie Logan, and James Mathew Barnes; He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild and another one on the way, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
