George Robert Hutchcraft

Born December 16, 1950 in Reelfoot, TN.  After a 10 year battle with Cancer he laid down his sword and climbed the stairway to heaven from his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 15, 2022.  George was a Master Machinist for over 50 years and a mentor to many young men learning the trade.  After moving to North Carolina 31 years ago with his new bride from Louisiana, he successfully owned and operated his own machine shop Brunswick Machine & Welding until his health failed and they returned to Prairieville, La.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Carol Dean Hutchcraft and grandson Colton Ballard of the home. His daughters Tammie Wright and Nichelle Hutchcraft . Brothers Johnny Hutchcraft and Heath Hutchcraft. His sister Lisa Marie Carr.  Grandsons James Flynn and Aaron Marshall. Granddaughters Kristen Abbott, Meagan Guillory, Ashley Guillory, Brittany Fletcher, Emma Wright, Amber Flynn, Taylor Hutchcraft. Great grandchildren Jace Abbott, Kassidy Abbott, Sarah Neal, Aurora Hiller, Skylar Hiller, Luna Hiller, Sophia Marshall, Freya Marshall, James R. Flynn, Lilly Flynn, Koda Flynn, Tiana Hutchcraft, Connor Hutchcraft.

He was preceded in death by his father George N. Hutchcraft, mother Ollie Bell Ludlow, sisters Vicki Porter and Debra Hutchcraft.  Brothers Willie Hutchcraft, David Hutchcraft, Donnie Hutchcraft, Dale Hutchcraft. Son Russell Ballard. Daughter Nikki Hutchcraft. Grandson Travis Hutchcraft.

His ashes will be placed with his family at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Corinth, MS.
