Henrietta “Rita” W Stafford, age 60, passed away on September 4, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at River of Life Worship Center in Port Vincent, LA.
Rita is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Donald “Donnie” Stafford; beloved dog Louie and cat Smokey; son, Josiah Granier and wife Emily Granier, daughter Rachel Granier; grandson, Elijah Granier; siblings, Reva, Violet and Jim Walker.
She was born March 11, 1962, in North Dakota, a member of the Lakota Sioux Standing Rock Tribe and longtime resident of Port Vincent, Louisiana. Rita diligently worked in chemical and refinery plants across south Louisiana and Kansas. Rita will be remembered always for her generous culinary gifts, kind spirit, perseverance, and devout faith.
