Gary Steven Laramore

Gary Steven Laramore, 64, passed away peacefully at his family home on August 26, 2022. His wife and children are deeply saddened by their loss. To honor Gary’s memory, we are holding a celebration of his life on September 10th, 2022 beginning at 4 pm at his family home. We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean Causey Laramore, his father, Charles Bowden Laramore , and his brother, Alan Laramore. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Moses-Laramore, children, Samantha and Landon Laramore, brothers, John and Carnie Burcham, and canine companions, Emma and Chloe.  He is also survived by a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews; all of whom he loved deeply.

Gary was born July 9th, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana.  As a native Louisianian, he graduated from LSU with a masters in exercise physiology and worked as senior trainer at the Baton Rouge General Heart and Fitness Center shortly after graduating.  After about 10 years there, he worked as an operator at Exxon where he retired.  He married his beloved wife in May,1991 and shortly after had his precious children.  He loved being a father and supporting his children in all their endeavors. 

He loved his LSU tigers, New Orleans Saints, and muscle cars.  He was known for his Gary grimaces, mustache, and mustang car collection. Those who knew him loved him deeply. 

In lieu of flowers or potted plants, you may send memorial donations to Louisiana Public Broadcasting.  The family has supported LPB for many years and he enjoyed the programming, especially during the months before his death.
