Janice Himel Friedley

Janice Himel Friedley, born March 31, 1946, passed away on July 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. For 2 ½ years, she fought a courageous fight with cancer. Even cancer could not stop Janice nor break her sweet spirit. She loved life and loved being among family and friends. If you ever had the chance to meet her, you would walk away with a smile. She always had a special way to make you laugh. Janice is preceded in death by husband, Perry Roy Friedley, better known as “PUG”; mother, Theresa Himel; father, Everett Himel; sisters, Marie Fulton; Zoe Martinez; Sandy Grathouse; Barbara Himel; brothers, Nicholas Himel; Huey Himel and granddaughter, Nicole Friedley Billingsley. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Friedley Cousin spouse Jessie Cousin; sons Paul Friedley fiancé Kim Sanchez; Harold Friedley; Robert Friedley spouse, Lisa Friedley; sister, Betty Blanchard; brother, Robert Himel. 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Devon Babin with Church Funeral Services and Cremation for her compassion that was shown to the family. Visitation will be held at Community Bible Fellowship (12584 Airline Hwy Gonzales) on Thursday July 14, 2022, from 9:00am to 12:00pm with service to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Donaldsonville, LA.
