Jess Christopher Gile

On June 28th, 2022, Jess Christopher Gile entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father at the age of 33.

Jess was born June 11th, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona, was raised in Louisiana and was a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana. He graduated from Dutchtown High School (Class of 2008) and was a tradesmen – most recently joining the Ironworkers Local 623. He worked for Fluor Maintenances Services at the Big Cajun 2 Power Plant in New Roads, Louisiana. His colleagues remember him as “a hard working young man with a beautiful smile and [they] looked forward to seeing him every day,” as he “was kind, very polite, and had the best manners.”

His greatest joy was his daughter. He spent his time watching movies and putting legos together with her, having daddy/daughter date nights, and fishing. He was a life long Who Dat. He will be remembered for his profound love for his daughter, neice, goddaughter, family and friends. As well as his BIG contagious smile, kindness and encouragement of others. He never met a stranger who did not become his best friend and saw the good in everybody.

He was a man of God and recently grew an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ while attending and graduating from A Place of Restoration in Gray, Louisiana.

He is survived by his daughter, Bailey Nicole Gile, mother, Monica Fernandez, stepfather, Frank Fernandez, sister Mikayla Guillot (Keith); stepsister, Danielle Ragusa (Chad), stepbrother, Brandon Fernandez (Morgan); grandparents, Robert Espinoza (Mary) and Diane Gile; step grandparents, Luis and Alicia Fernandez; uncles Eric Espinoza (Stacee) and Robbie Gile; step uncles Jorge Fernandez (Jeralyn) and Lazaro Fernandez (Alicia), nieces, Brynzlie and Blake Guillot (godchild) and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Gile, maternal grandmother, Lorrie O’Meara and his paternal grandfather Robert Gile, and great grandparents.

For all those he loved and touched deeply, please join us for a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 8th, 2022 at Healing Place Church, 19202 Highland Rd., Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation begins at 10a followed by a church service at Noon.

“ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39
