Kenneth Jude Barras

Kenneth Jude Barras gained his wings on Friday June 17, 2022.  He is survived by his wife Roxann Philippe Barras, sister Cheryl Barras Delafield, children Leanne Barras Meloncon (Robbie), Amanda Barras Lapeyrouse (Zach), James Stone (Nancy), Gregory Stone (Brandy), Sara Stone Webb (Connor) and Elizabeth Stone Harrison (Deuce).  Godchild Kelly Sicard, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Preceded in death by his parents Ursin and Conchetta (Politz) Barras and in-laws Brown and Viola Philippe, daughter Allison, brother in-law Glenn (Delly) Delafield.  Kenny enjoyed cooking for family and friends and never met a stranger. His love of his faith and family was never-ending.   His smile will always be remembered.  Words cannot express the gratitude for the love and care given to him by the ICU-B staff and the 6th floor staff of the Baton Rouge General Hospital.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to VFW Post 3693, 42430 Churchpoint Rd. Gonzales 70737. “My mind still talks to you and my heart still looks for you, but my soul knows you are at peace.”  Rest easy “White Rice”, “West Bank Kenny”.  Arrangements are pending through Church Funeral Services.
