“Well done, good and faithful servant’ Matthew 25:23. Patricia Williams Fletcher (LaMonda), 81, beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, was called to be with her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on November 2,1940, in Independence, Louisiana. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Patricia, fondly referred to as “Pat”, obtained her Bachelor Degree in secondary education from Louisiana State University and a Master of Education Degree from the University of New Orleans. She was a dedicated teacher for thirty-one years teaching at Grace King High School in New Orleans and at Lee High School in Baton Rouge. Her secondary career was as a rehabilitation counselor for the state of Louisiana for eighteen years. Pat is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ellen Williams, her brothers, Bill (Verna), Chuck (Kindra), and Randy (Pam). She was also dearly loved by her nieces and nephews who considered her their grandmother. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Faye Hayes and Charles Fletcher, her grandmother, Dixie Harvin Hayes, and her former husband, John R. Williams. A celebration of her life will be held at Jefferson Baptist Church on Friday, April 29, with visitation from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM with services immediately following. The burial will take place at Greensburg Cemetery in Greensburg, Louisiana at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge or Parkview Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Butterfly Wing for providing excellent care and compassion.
