Russell Anselmo

Russell Anselmo departed this life peacefully at home with family present on April 7,2022.

He was 84 years old. He was a graduate of Ithaca High School in New York and attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. He worked as an industrial pipe designer until retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, football and woodworking. He was an avid LSU fan and never missed a game, albeit his mood was dependent upon whether those tigers won or not. He often spent time in his shop creating beautiful wood art which he often shared with family and friends. Away from home, he enjoyed spending time with his many friends at The Wharf.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Marilou Brian Anselmo, his son Dusty, two daughters Tracy and Christy, stepson Tony, brother Randy, grand children Haley, Mike, Terry, Cheyenne, Toni Marie and Tristan, great grandchildren Jazmine, Sadie and Jasiah.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bobbie Connelly, Joe and Lucille Anselmo, brother Mark, daughter Terry and stepson Mike.
