Carolyn Marie Gautreau Molliere

Carolyn Marie Gautreau Molliere, 83, left this earth for her heavenly home on March 7, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Gonzales where she married and had 2 daughters.

Services will be held at The Church International, 13423 Highway 431, St Amant LA 70774, on Monday March 14, 2022. Visitation from 9:30 am until service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville.

She met her spouse Larry while they were working at Shermans Dept store, fell in love and married. That turned into a 65 ½ year love affair.

Carolyn loved the Lord with all her heart and was a true servant. Her passion was to teach children and that she did. She taught Sunday School, helped in church nursery, taught children’s church, worked with countless VBS, and was instrumental in many Christmas programs at church. She helped establish the first daycare at then Faith tabernacle and worked in there for many years as a preschool teacher. Later she became the director until she retired.

She was an excellent cook, seamstress, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to many. She was a great listener and good counselor.

Her faith carried her through many trials. She never wavered in her love and commitment to Jesus. She was a true virtuous woman, never selfish and always looking for a place to help and serve.

She leaves behind her husband Larry Molliere, daughters Pamela Moran and Yvette (Keith) Maddie. Three grandchildren, Earl (Erica) Moran, Bonnie (Chris) Mire, and Adrienne (Ben) Chaney. Nine great grandchildren, Harley and Reid Moran, Josiah and Micah Mire, Lucy, Bentley, Hayes, Ruby, and Waylon Chaney. Siblings are Amanda (Roy) Lemoyne, Audrey (Arthur) Ficklin, Cherrie (Andy) Mayers, sisters-in-law Linda and Diane Gautreau.

Preceded in death by parents Agnes and Sanders Gautreau, brothers Bowman and Francis Gautreau, son-in-law Earl Moran, Sr.

We know that she was welcomed in heaven with a big celebration. No more pain, sorrow, or tears. Just joy unspeakable!
