Bryan Joseph Haydel, Sr., age 67, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2022. While his time with us ended too soon, those that were blessed by his presence will forever cherish the imprint he left on our hearts and lives.
Bryan was born on February 3, 1955, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a 1974 graduate of East Ascension High School, where he was an avid football player for the Spartans from 1971-1974. After graduation, he went on to work for the family business, Ascension Roofing and Sheet Metal, for many years eventually co-owning it with his two brothers. He was a wonderful husband, father, and paw paw. Most will remember his enthusiasm for LSU football, rarely missing a game and hosting many great tailgates, his flavorful cooking, and his love to joke and laugh.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Lonnie Darbonne Haydel; his son, Bryan Haydel, Jr; daughters, Angela Haydel Duhe (Damon); Kacy Haydel Avrill (Ryan); dog, Paco; his brothers, Dennis Haydel, Sr., and Gregory Haydel (Kriste); and sisters, Reva Haydel LeSage, Karen Haydel Kimball (Harold), Dawn Haydel Hooten, and Shawn Haydel; and his grandchildren, Brielle, Briley, and Bella Haydel, Cole, Hope, and Faith Duhe, and Karsyn Avrill, and also leaves behind a host of other beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hilton Joseph Haydel, mother, Learlin LeBlanc Haydel Thibodeaux, and godchild, Amanda Haydel Sinanan.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Haydel, Jr., Ryan Avrill, Damon Duhe, Dennis Haydel, Sr., Gregory Haydel, and Cory Luker. Visitation will be held at Household of Faith Church located at 10469 S. Airline Highway, Gonzales on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
