Ira Hylton Williams
A ceremony celebrating the life of Ira Hylton Williams will be held on Friday at 2 pm, at Faithful United Methodist Church, St Amant, visitation will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Hylton was born on December 23, 1928, in Brignac, LA and passed from this life on Tuesday February 15, 2022, at the age of 93 years. He was a resident of St Amant, retired AT&T Technician, a member of Faithful United Methodist Church, and served with the U S Coast Guard 1948 – 1951.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Urna Singletary Williams, first wife Elizabeth Ann Greer Williams, daughter Terry Dell Fournet, siblings Birma Montet, Brian, Keelan, Dwight, Holmes, Adrian Delton, and Caper Williams.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Freeman Hough Williams, children Susan Hodge (Beau), Brenda Molaison (Larry), Gary Williams (Charlotte), Richard “Brad” Williams (Elaine), Rebecca “Becky” Marson (Ricky), Lynn Lewis (Lee), and Lisa Lee (Shane), brother Gyles Williams (Rita), also survived by 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
