Todd Luke Rabalais

Todd Luke Rabalais passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the age of 52. He is survived by his beloved mother, Mavis Watts Rabalais of French Settlement; brother, Terrance “Toby” Rabalais, Jr. and wife Dionne; sister Angela “Angie” Rome and husband Greg; nieces Zoe and Zayne Rome and nephew Zack Rome, all of Baton Rouge. He is preceded in death by his father, Terrance B. Rabalais, Sr.; paternal grandparents Lester and Rose Rabalais of Plaucheville, LA; maternal grandparents Wm. Delphine and Lena Watts of French Settlement, LA. Raised in Baton Rouge, he graduated from Belaire High School. He was an all-state high school baseball player and attended Gulf Coast Mississippi Junior College. He resided in Gonzales, LA until moving to be near his parents in French Settlement.

Todd was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman. Also, a former member of the Git’ Em spearfish club. He inherited his love of the outdoors from his father and together they made many trips to the mouth of the Mississippi River and throughout the coastal waters of Louisiana. He participated in many fishing tournaments. He cherished these memories with good friends, his brother Toby and his cousin, Jimmy Rabalais.

Todd was a realtor with Keller Williams and an operator of a trucking business. Todd was kind, fun-loving, and willing to help anyone at a moment’s notice. Although his smile is gone, we will hold him forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement. Followed by a funeral mass which will begin at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Todd’s honor to Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA, 68190 Hwy 190 Service Rd, Covington, LA 70433); St. Joseph Catholic Church Bell Tower Fund (15710 La Hwy 16, French Settlement, LA 70733); or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
