
Daniel Wayne (Dan) Jackson, 67, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on January 6, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1954, in Falfurrias, Texas. Dan worked in telecommunications. He was a member of The Alamo Defender Descendant’s Association. He also served his country in the U.S. Army, 1973-1980; and the Texas National Guard, 1980-1986.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Cleveland and Geneva Joann Smith Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Beth Bush Jackson; three (3) children: Josiah Bernard Jackson (Sarah), Yucca Valley, California; Daniel Wayne Jackson, II (Brennan), Terrytown, Louisiana; and Katie Jackson Devenney (Nick), Denham Springs, Louisiana; six (6) grandchildren, Haley Jackson, Hannah Jackson, Bryson Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson, Beau Devenney, and Georgia Kates Devenney; one sister, Patti Loines (Billy); one aunt, Lois “Lou” Grams (Mike) of Austin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dan will be forever missed, but we take great comfort knowing that he is happily reunited with family.
Graveside services were held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. Military Honors will be performed by the U. S. Army Fort Polk Division and Reverend Tommy McCormick
