Robert C. “Bobby” Williams
Robert C. “Bobby” Williams, Sr., a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on November 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family, at the age of 79.
Bobby was a retired pipefitter for the Local 198 with 55 years of service and he served as a board member on the Amite River Basin Commission for 4 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, watching sports and westerns, scaring everyone as they walked through the door, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Faye Williams; his children, Tiffani Williams, April Wascom and husband Craig, Bridgette Huston and husband Jeff, and Robert C. Williams, Jr. and wife Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Chase Huston and wife Erica, Laken Hanna and husband Sandy, John Craig Wascom, Britt Huston and fiancé Blake Caro, Landyn Gautreau, Joshua Banks and wife Shelbi, Gabriel Wascom and girlfriend Hope Honea, Gage Williams; Bree Garza, and Caitlyn Strong; his great-grandchildren, Riley and Jack Huston, Emmett, Miles, and Grayson Hanna, and Demi and Brooks Wascom; his siblings, Judy Williams Nickens, Ray Williams and wife Rosanne, Warren Williams and wife Julie, and Jeff Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Comer and Leola Williams, and his brother Steve Williams.
Services will be held on, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at The Church International, 13423 LA-431, St Amant, LA 70774. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am and funeral service at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Faithful United Methodist Church Cemetery, 14235 La. 431 St. Amant, LA. 70774.
Pallbearers will be Robert C. Williams, Jr., Jeff Huston, Chase Huston, John Craig Wascom, Joshua Banks, and Gabriel Wascom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Alzheimer’s Association, act.alz.org.
