Barbara Nasca

Barbara Nasca a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021.

Ms. Nasca known to all as Mini-mah was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and prayer warrior.  She never met a stranger and loved unconditionally.  To her family and all that knew her she was a beacon of beauty and light.  She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was a witness to His saving grace.

Mini-mah enjoyed reading, writing music & poems. The greatest joys of her life were her family and her great grand boys Jackson and Graham as she would call them “her mighty men of valor”.  She never wanted to miss a single event, school function or game they played.  They brought such love and joy to her life.

Mini-mah is survived by her son, Peter Nasca and wife Deborah; daughters, Robin Nasca, Dana Nasca Basinger and husband, Wendell; grandson, Simeon Basinger; granddaughters, Christian Basinger Heimann and husband, Brian, Chelsea Bates, Chanel Nasca and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Vincent Nasca; sisters, Nita Rotel, Peggy Grenfell; brothers, Billy and Gene Grenfell along with her best friend, Ruth Marie Bourg.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Healing Place Church located at 19202 Highland Road from 2-4pm with services beginning at 4.  There will be a private family graveside service on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

The next time that I meet you will be at Heaven’s door.  You’ll be there to meet me, and I will cry no more.  I’ll put my arms around you and kiss your lovely face and then this broken heart of mine  will fall back into place.

Simeon – she will dance at your wedding and to Peter, Robin, Dana, Wendell, Christian & Simeon – from her lips to your ears – I love you.
