Tammy “Ti” Gaudet

Tammy “Ti” Lorraine Gaudet passed away peacefully at the age of 64 on October 2, 2021 with her wife, daughter and priest by her side after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tammy was a native of New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge in 1988. She worked for Sears Optical as an optician for many years then changed careers in 2003. That is when she began her long employment GI Associates in Baton Rouge until her death. She held many positions there, her last being Call Center Coordinator, a position she took great pride in.

She was a passionate soul which was obvious in her love for music and movies – specifically anything 70’s, The Beatles, Al Pacino and The Godfather trilogy. Her other loves were traveling with hopes of seeing movie stars and to her “happy place” at the beach.

She was a loving wife, mother, friend, and co-worker, but her most cherished title was “Ti”. She was a child at heart and adored raising Kayla and spending time with the children of her friends.

She is survived by her wife and soul mate, Tammy Gremillion, their daughter Kayla Gremillion, dogs Kenzie and Diesel, and grandpup Gunner along with many special family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Noemy Lopez Akers, and relatives Carmen Lucia Orellana and Ivin R. Williamson.

A very special thank you to Dr. LaVie and the wonderful staff at Our Lady of the Lake. Thank you to Dr. McDonald, all the physicians and staff, and coworkers at 9103 Jefferson Hwy who supported her during this journey.

In Lieu of flowers or memorial gifts please donate to Pancreatic Cancer Network and St. Margret’s Episcopal Church, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.

Services will be held on Friday, October 8th at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Visitation will begin at 3pm followed by a mass at 7pm, burial and reception to follow.
