Wilson “Snook” Matherne

Wilson “Snook”  Matherne, age 74,  went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 6:22pm in Batesville, Arkansas. He was a native of French Settlement and recently moved to Violet Hill, Arkansas.

 

A veteran in the U S Army from the Viet Nam Conflict, he passed away from the COVID-19. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed the time he had with them. Loved eating, going to horse sales and antique auctions and spending time with special friends, child, grandchildren,  Jennifer Treadeay, Dennis and Roxanne Harmon

 

He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Bolton and husband Don Bolton; grandchildren, Dustin Mclin and wife Maia Mclin, Layne Mclin and Brittany Sullivan ; great-grandchildren, Harlee Hanna, Austin Bergin, Savanna Bergin, Carlie Sullivan, Addison Sullivan and Aiden Sullivan.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Matherne, Sr. and mother Raynell Matherne.

 

Pallbearers will be Dustin Mclin, Layne Mclin, Ricky Aime, Nicholas Holand, Dusty Treadway and Ruger Treadway.

 

Graveside visitation will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Colyell Community Cemetery, 19524 LA-42, Livingston, LA 70754. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jimmy Little officiating and Military Honors will be performed by Fort Polk.
