Amy Brumfield Kennerly

Amy Brumfield Kennerly, born in Baton Rouge and resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully at her home after her battle with cancer on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 65.  Amy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who always enjoyed time with her family and friends.  Amy was a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ and devoted member of Family of Faith Baptist Church.  She proudly graduated from Istrouma high school in 1974 and LSU in 1978.  Amy is survived by her loving husband, James Kennerly; children, Sharon Kemp and husband, Phillip and Clint Kennerly and wife, Lacy; grandchildren, Stephen, Clara, and Alice Joy Kemp, Emily and Lelia Kennerly; siblings, John Brumfield and wife, Charlene, Sue Gilchrist and husband, Ray, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Delores Brumfield.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Family of Faith Baptist Church (10748 Perkins Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70810) from 9:30 am until service time at 11:30 am.  Burial to follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Amy’s honor to the Family of Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.  To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.churchfuneralservices.com .  Arrangements entrusted with Church Funeral Services of Baton Rouge.
