Percy Schexnayder

A native of Gonzales and resident of Denham Springs. He passed away on August 28th 2021 at the age of 59 as a result of complications due to the coronavirus. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. For close to 40 years he was the shop foreman at Delta Rigging and Tools and grew fond of his work family and their time shared together. Friday nights were always reserved for date-nights with his wife Leslie at Walk Ons. Percy was closest to his youngest  son Seth whom he worked, hunted and cooked with for many years. He is survived by his wife Leslie Hoyt Schexnayder, two sons and daughter: Shawn Schexnayder, Seth Schexnayder and Shalynn Schexnayder.

And his granddog Bella Schexnayder. As well as brothers Earnest and Brian Schexnayder. Percy was preceded in death by his parents: Percy Schexnayder Sr. and Laura Nell Schexnayder and his brothers Jeffery Schexnayder and Ryan Schexnayder. Private services to be held at a later date. The family wishes to offer a special thanks to the Delta Rigging team for their love and support.
