A ceremony celebrating the life of Shirley T. Mahaffey will be 2 pm Friday at Red Bluff Baptist Church, visitation will be Thursday 5 pm until 8 pm, and then will resume on Friday at 10 am until time of the service. Interment will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mahaffey was born on April 13, 1958; and passed from this life on at her residence on Tuesday August 24, 2021. She was a resident of Osyka, MS, a homemaker, and a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church. She was an avid fan of LSU Tigers, she enjoyed taking pictures, eating jambalaya, and especially spending time on Facebook. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents Huey and Terradene Richard Thibodeaux, siblings Karen, Johnny, Dwaine, Irvin and Brenda, brother-in-law Wayne.
Survivors include her husband Tommy Mahaffey, children Daniel & Sam, Tommy Jr., and Pam, Glory and Malcom, Theresa, Douglas and Brandi, grandchildren Destine, Ava, Thomas III, Evan, Rayann, Nicholas, T. J. and Bridgette, Drew, Haylie, Justin and Haleigh, Kody, Lexis, Jr and Sam, Dustin and Carley, Christian and Shaelyn, Lacey and Kassie; great grandchildren Katie, Karly, Victoria, Abby, Mason, McKinley, Justin, and Ryan; sisters Linda and Angie; brother in law Ernie; sister in law Darlene and Jerry, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, T J, Drew, Christian, Jr, Dustin, Kody, and Justin.
