Richard Lee Clousing

Richard Lee Clousing passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021.  He was born in Chicago, IL on January 14, 1941, raised in Shreveport, LA and resided in Prairieville for the last 50 years.  He was a member of the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged after 8 years.  He worked for the State of Louisiana, Dept. of Public Safety where he retired after 30 years.  He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed doing projects for others.  Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nelda Rae Rushing Clousing, daughters Rebekah Clousing Cook (Kevin) and Risa Clousing Settoon (Brandon), sons Richard Alan Toellner (Tammy) and Michael Eugene Toellner, grandchildren Dani, Abby, Jacob, Kaylee, Sienna, Heather and Nicole, sister Rae Ann Patton, brother Ron Clousing, nephews Roger and Randy Patton and Jonathan and Joshua Clousing.  Preceded in death by parents Raymond & Ada Cavarlee Clousing, twin siblings Roger Alan & Shirley Jean Clousing, and brother-in-law Ray Patton.  His wish was to be cremated.  There will be a memorial service at a later date.
